Since we were away for a bit, its time to open our mailbag. I've received a strange email from China:
I am touched, and would like to dedicate this song to my mystery Chinese lover. I'd also like to publicly respond in simple, easily translatable English:
My high school lover/protege/husband from St.Louis had this to say:
Isn't he a cutie+2? When my boy is happy, I'm happy. I have asked him whether or not Cher's voice went robot during 'Believe'. They'd like us to 'believe' that this is done with a vocoder. Is Cher human or is she a secret Japanese entertainment robot? Only the Japanese know, and they're not telling. I'm annoyed that Larry Tee is getting all of this press for Luxx and his 'Electroclash' nonsense. I liked Luxx at first but now its slightly irritating. What is 'Electroclash' exactly, because it isn't Electro. Larry spins house, hip hop and 80s pop. One should be sure that a new genre of music exists before naming it, probably. In the Electro section we give you old-school 80s Electro. Now we give you contemporary Electro. This is modern Electro and you will not hear it at Luxx, although you should. First, the modern Electro classic: 'Sex with the Machines' by Anthony Rother Next, the spaceage: 'In Bass, No One Can Hear You Scream' by Bass Junkie And finally, the brilliant, floor-stomping 90s Trip Theory remix of the 80s Electro classic: 'Break Dancing Electric Boogie' by West Street Mob Should we start a new page on the site dedicated to contemporary Electro? We are considering it. 'Electroclash'? I've never heard it. It does not exist. |
