11 . 5 . 02 I am pleased to announce the House of Diabolique 31st birthday spectacular. Above is the cover artwork for 'House of Diabolique - 31', a birthday mix cd I made for all of my friends. This is to show my appreciation for their love and support as well as their faux-dedication to my cult of godless machine worship. I make a birthday mix cd every year but this one is probably closest to my absent heart. Even the artwork reflects my being; note the clock in place of my heart above. I chose songs not for their popularity but for their reflection of my thoughts. This is not to say that they aren't great songs; in fact they are all brilliant, if overlooked. All the more reason to let you in on their secrets. The mix starts with Miami-bass infused electro before transitioning into 90s electro, and then there is an interlude of sorts before I finish off with Goa trance. It is meant to sound somewhat like a transmission from outer space. It is a taste of home. I made 80 CDs and gave 78 of them out at my official birthday party at Hell. The 79th was given to a boy on the street and the 80th to a girl working at Roxy; both happened to know this website. You see, there are times when the universe spins according to my plans! CDs meant for all of you had been pressed in North Korea but unfortunately the North Korean government has impounded them for use in nuclear weapons. Such is the power of my music. I have since dispatched Madonna to seek revenge, rescue my stolen CDs and destroy her own ego (no easy task). Giving you a list of songs as I did last year would not suffice because this cd is mixed in such a way that listening to it will alter your brainwaves. It is a form of mind control to make you happy, sad, and elated. The mix also contains a few mashup style remixes that I did and is dotted with samples from movies and tv; Bea Arthur makes a guest appearance, as does the Principal from my favorite animated series of all time, Whatever Happened to Robot Jones , a series that was no doubt inspired by me!
